The theme of seek together was perfect for our team this year :) Felt pretty mentally prepared but I know for Nike I'll need to be more ready. We started good, using that first 7 sec to sprint. Got into a good position and found teammates. Stayed behind that first group till about after the lake where Ellie passed and pushed me, then Riley. I stuck behind Rylee not with her, that's one thing I need to work on. At the 800 I saw the 2 girls that passed me-mountain view and dhills- and told myself I'd finish before them. So I did and that split second decision made all the difference! Finishing was scary cause I couldn't see and got dizzy so I practically threw myself on a boy near me hahaha thank goodness he was nice and helped me walk. Finished 18th with 19:24.7 (.4 sec pr from last year:/) team wise- 1st in 4a, 5a, and 2nd in the state by 7 points! Still have much to go to reach our next goal but once we bring our pack closer to Jess we can do it!
